The World record Challenge “Recite China in a Hundred Cities” is a complete success

Guided by the Youth Broadcasting and Hosting Professional Committee of the Chinese Language Press and Publication Association and certified by the authoritative certification organization of the world record called FWRC, Beijing Yuyi Xingguang Cultural Media Co., Ltd. jointly launched the "Recite China in a Hundred Cities" world record challenge activity in conjunction with national language workers in order to strengthen the construction of international communication capacity, accelerate the enhancement of the international influence of Chinese words and let the whole world hear and listen to the voice of China.

A total of 9,064 people participated in the challenge in 147 cities in a period of 7 months from October 2023 to May 2024 and 71 of them met the challenge rules. Confirmed by Forbes World Records Certification (FWRC), the event successfully created the world record of “the largest youth recitation event across multiple cities”. On May 26, 2024, the closing ceremony and award presentation for the successful challenge took place in Beijing. We were privileged to invite Mr. Mark Henshaw, the official certification officer of FWRC from Canada, who holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education, to present the award to the event's initiator, Beijing Yuyi Xingguang Cultural Media Co., Ltd.

During the closing ceremony, numerous distinguished guests from various sectors convened to bring a fitting conclusion to this cultural celebration. The speeches of the guests are not only the affirmation and encouragement of the “Recite China in a Hundred Cities” activity, but also the beautiful expectations for cultural inheritance and development in the future.

Besides, the challengers from all over the country carried out the “Recite China in a Hundred Cities” demonstration on the scene, showing their deep love and firm inheritance of Chinese culture with great momentum and deep feeling. Each sentence of reading seems to travel through time and space, telling the thousand-year glory of Chinese civilization so that everyone is moved.

Since the opening of the event, we have witnessed many heart-touching moments of reading, listened to the sound of reading from all over the world and deeply felt the profound and far-reaching influence of Chinese culture. Challengers from all over the world, either chanting alone or in teams, used their sincere emotions and vivid interpretations to convey the essence of Chinese culture to every audience so that the world was moved.

Although the “Recite China in a Hundred Cities” large-scale world record challenge event has come to an end, its residual sound and reverberation are still reverberating around the world. This is not only a cultural feast, but also an opportunity for Chinese culture to dialogue with the world. Although the World Challenge activity has come to an end, the road of inheriting and promoting Chinese culture is like an endless river that never stops.
